Boston in Autumn

Hey all! Ali and I recently returned from a really fun week in Boston and I wanted to share the photos with you. We wanted to go to America, our favourite city is New York but we wanted to do something new and decided on Boston because of all the history and pretty autumn leaves. I was also really excited to take a trip out to Salem (I'll share those photos in the next post!).

I LOVED Quincy Market, no surprises there. It took me about half an hour to decide what to eat, I went for some delicious carboloading with bacon mac and cheese and Ali got a lobster roll and some CHOWDA.

We took a guided tour of the Freedom Trail which I would really recommend. I think it was around $15 each and our guide was so knowledgeable and even took us to some parts that were off the trail that he thought we would like to see.

We went up the Prudential building at sunset which was wonderful timing!

View of Boston Harbour from the ferry which we took back from Salem. We were also on the water on the Duck Tour which is a must do but I was so busy looking around that I forgot to take any photos.

One of the highlights of our trip was the Science of Pixar exhibition at the Museum of Science. It was a great way to spend a few hours and being huge Pixar fans it was like heaven for us. It's also really interactive and you can play around with lighting sets, camera angles and all that fun stuff. Oh, and don't forget to take some dorky photos.

On the last day we visited Harvard and took a student guided tour, I annoyed Alistair by quoting Legally Blonde a lot.

Walking around beautiful Beacon Hill on our last day. Salem photos coming next!

Some exciting news!

If you follow me on my social media pages you may already know that I have had an exciting month! At the end of September Ali and I took a Sunday walk along the beach at Murlough. I had become fixated on the tallest sand dune I could find and was determined to climb it.

Once I finally reached the top two things happened. The first was that it immediately started pouring with rain, the second was that I turned around from checking that Lola wasn't harassing any more of the wild rabbits and Ali was down on one knee in front of me. What a day! It was unexpected and wonderful and it still seems like it was a dream!

And afterwards, once we climbed down from the sand dune looking like a pair of (very happy).drowned rats! I'm still adjusting to wearing such a beautiful ring every day, I think I look at it about 5 times a minute. I can't wait to be married!
