So I know I often start these posts with a reason for not posting much lately, but I promise I have a valid excuse this time! I've been spending the last few months on a business programme run by my city council to set up a small business. So that's what I've been doing!
I've always been really passionate about baking, and I have taken orders and baked for birthday parties and weddings before but never as a proper business. After months of work and help from people I couldn't have done this without <3 I have my own little bakery company up and running!
Cake for sampling! The kids went nuts over this.
These were for an event at Belfast City Hall that I baked for, it was called The Mad Hatter's Tea Party so it was really fun to do! The Queen of Hearts cake was rainbow inside :)
Yesterday I traded at Belfast's busiest and most historic market, St George's and it was a wonderful day. I sold out of everything! I'll be there again this Sunday so any Belfast folk - come and say hi!
My website just launched yesterday, check it out and let me know what you think! I'm so excited about it, especially my cocktail cupcake menu. I also have a facebook page you can 'like' to keep up to date with my events :) It's been hard work, but it is a labour of love and I am having a great time with it!
p.s. my illustrations were done by the same wonderful girl who did my blog header, Harriet off Blargle Fargle, if you ever need any illustration work done at all I highly recommend her! Her rate was very reasonable, I had the work really quickly and she was wonderful putting up with all the little alterations every time I changed my mind on something!
Oh wow they all look so delicious!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new business
Hope all continues to go well :) (with cakes like those I'm sure it will though!)

I love your cupcake and baking post, I've taken so much inspiration from your cupcake posts, if it wasn't for your livejournal (back in the day!) and blog then I don't think I would of fallen inlove with baking as much. You deserve all good things to come your way. x
